I have just seen this doctor for the first time. She listened. She was interested, and took notice of me, before making up her mind. She was caring, attentive and made sure that I understood the problem, and that I knew what to do. I hope to *** that she stays with the practice, because I would 'seek her out'.

The doctor was friendly and apologised for the late running of the appointment. She attentively listened to my concerns and then made an examination. In acknowledgment of the fact that I have been suffering from the symptoms for a couple of years she referred me to a consultant and advised me on the process of booking the appointment. I think she is a very valuable addition to the Gigg's Hill Surgery.

I had an appointment with Dr Taylor-Barnes recently and found her a very sympathetic and understanding person. I arrived unavoidably late for my appointment, yet she went out of her way to fit me in to her busy schedule. She was an excellent listener with very good empathic skills and did everything she could to meet my needs. There was none of the indifference one so often experiences in the doctors' surgery. I felt confident in her judgment. This appointment was a very positive experience. She couldn't have been more polite and helpful. If only more doctors were like her!

The care I received from Dr Taylor Barnes was not only professional but also informative .Her patient/communication skills are way ahead of some GPs I've come across. Too often GP's do not take the trouble to explain or enlighten patients sufficiently, usually wanting to keep the consultation to a minimum and if you have more than one concern its all a bit of a rush. In Dr Taylor Barnes's case I felt I had been listened to,given a diagnosis, was able to ask questions and received clear directions. A very good GP.
